The tree-lined course benefits from views of the Firth of Clyde so golfers can enjoy the scenery as well as a challenging round on our deceptively demanding golf course. It was over the links land ofScotland that the game of golf was born and still today the true links experience is unparalleled the world over. The Irvine Golf Club established 1887, is a fine example and is regularly used by the R&A as a Final Open Qualifying Course.

Founded in 1973, Troon Welbeck Golf Club is a private members club playing Lochgreen, Darley and Fullarton golf courses. The clubhouse has great views over the 3 courses, allowing you to watch playersstarting and completing their rounds. Troon Welbeck welcomes new members in all sections of the club.
It will be the ninth time that the Championship has been held over the famous links, most recently in 2004 when veteran American Todd Hamilton overcame three-time major champion Ernie Els in aplay-off. A warm welcome awaits you at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club, a traditional Scottish links golf course established in 1851 and occupying a prime position on the shores of the Firth of Clyde onScotland's west coast. The course and Club are steeped in history - indeed one of its founder members was Old Tom Morris who was based in Prestwick prior to returning east to St Andrews and his place in golfing legend.
