About the Business

If you are visiting Cumbria, whether on holiday or a golfing break you should not miss the opportunity to play the 18 hole James Braid designed Cockermouth golf course at Embleton. National Club Golfer Magazine for July 2009 featured Cockermouth Golf Course as one of the great places to play en route to Turnberry. Cockermouth course is a great test of golf combined with spectacular scenery. After teeing off you will soon appreciate the views that are opening up around you, some of the finest in Cumbria.

You could be forgiven for that odd errant shot as you take a glimpse of Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw in the background. In the Lorton Valley the mountains of Whiteside, Grassmoor and Melbreak dominate the scene. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Man and the mountains of Scotland across the Solway.
