About the Business

Headley is located a 1000 feet above sea level on the West Yorkshire Pennines and was founded in 1907. It stands on the south side of the of the valley opposite Thornton village, birth place of the Bronte children. Headley, a short nine-hole course with a big welcome and plenty of fun to play and enjoy a great round of golf. Headley's clubhouse has panoramic view down the Aire Valley to Selby and beyond and is available for hire free of charge for functions.

At just 4,864 yards off the white tees, you don't have to be a Westwood with your driver, but you do need to be a pretty decent putter. The course is on two levels and is bisected by the viaduct, which is 120 foot high, 23 arch construction which was built around 1880 to connect to the Bradford, Halifax and Keighley Railway and is now part of the Great Northern Trail, used by walkers and cyclists.
