About the Business
During the 2015 season, we will, on Wednesday 27 May, be hosting the Durham County Golf Union Boys Under 14 Championship with the Durham County Boys and Boys Under 16 Championship taking place on Saturday 6 June. We are also hosting Durham County Ladies Golf Association Junior Girls Appleby Bowl on Sunday 24 May and the Durham County Junior Golf Society on Thursday 28 May. In 2012 the club celebrated it's Centenary year and we are proud that we have continued to grow in stature throughout our 100 year history.
We continue to adapt to change and to the demands of modern times while maintaining the traditions of golf and the traditions of Heworth Golf Club. Our course has matured into one of the most respected courses in the area and is always immaculately presented and boasts the best greens in the North East of England. In 2009 the club hosted the Northern Counties match between the Durham County Golf Union and the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs.
