
Hertfordshire is blessed with a number of fine parkland golf courses and Brickendon Grange Golf Club sits comfortably within this group. The club was established in the 1960's and opened the fulleighteen hole golf course designed by C.K. Cotton in 1967. The signature hole is without doubt the 17th, named 'Ace of Herts', which is undisputedly not only one of the best holes in Hertfordshire but one of the best holes to be played in the South of England.

It's well preserved Roman ruins and early Christian heritage make exploration a must. Tunisia's thalassotherapy centers are second only to France. Our challenging par 72 course was designed by James Braid in 1905 so we are now well into our second century as a thriving members' club situated in the heart of historic St Albans, known asVerulamium in Roman times. We take great pride in the condition of our course and the pace and subtlety of our greens. The course is fast-draining and is rarely closed, even in winter, so you can be assured of a challenging but fair test at any time of the year.

Canons Brook has one of the best courses in the region. Designed by the legendry Sir Henry Cotton and matured over 50 years, it presents a truly engaging golf experience with lots of variety and alllocated in a beautiful setting. With experienced, qualified professionals and a well-equipped Pro Shop, your technique and equipment needs are well-catered for too. It's not just about the golf of course.

Still owned and run by the founding family, Ivinghoe Golf Club endeavours to foster an environment where golfers of all ages and abilities are welcome. We are open daily to visitors without booking,and can offer a taylor-made itinerary to suit group bookings or societies. Our large well-stocked Pro Shop offers a vast array of golf equipment, professional advice, as well as expert on-site club repair facilities.

The Club was officially opened in 1932 and has regularly featured in the top 100 golf courses in the UK and was selected by the R & A to host an 'Open Championship' Regional Qualifying Competition forsix years between 2003 and 2008. The Club has also regularly hosted PGA events as well as County/Regional Championships for both Men & Ladies. Ashridge first came to prominence, however, in the late 1930's following the appointment of Henry Cotton as resident Club Professional.

Located in a Grade II listed mansion and scenic grounds, The Hertfordshire is awe-inspiring. The Clubhouse is set in an 18th Century Mansion and the golf course meanders through ancient grounds onceowned by The Order of Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem.

I first started to play golf at the age of 13 when I joined Ely City Golf Club as a junior member. I progressed through the junior ranks becoming junior club captain and winning many competitionsalong the way. These included Junior Championships, other clubs Opens, the C.A.G.U County Boys title and the Cambridgeshire Foursomes Championship at Ramsey. Also setting the course record at the Wandlebury course at the Gog Ma Gog golf club in Cambridge.

Founded in 1893 Oundle Golf Club is set in peaceful countryside just outside the delightful market town of Oundle, in the picturesque county of Northamptonshire. You will enjoy a testing round watchedover by red kites, green woodpeckers and the ocassional peacock and guinea fowl that wander onto the course from the adjoining farm. The 18 hole parkland course presents a real test for players of all abilities. It demands accuracy from the tee and precise iron shots to small, but undulating greens.

Potters Bar was established in 1923 and was the home golf club of Tony Jacklin, winner of the British and US Open, and former Captain of the Ryder Cup team. The beautiful course offers a mature 6291yard par 71 providing a delightful challenge to the accomplished golfer whilst not being daunting for the higher handicapped player. Situated just off the M25, Potters Bar Golf Club is within easy reach of London, and for visitors from outside England.
