Set in the old royal hunting grounds of the Kings Park, Stirling is a golf course of excellent quality and unique character - a golfing experience not to be missed. Formed in 1869 the club celebratedits 140th year in 2009, but we are aware that Kings Park has a much longer association with the game of golf. Crieff while only an hours drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow (find us) is situated at the "Gateway to the Highlands" and being surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of rural Perthshire, provides afeeling of escape. With Gleneagles only ten minutes away and St Andrews, Carnoustie, and The Rosemount at Blairgowrie all just 90 minutes or so away, Crieff is an ideal base for a golf holiday. Members please ensure you repair pitch marks on the fairways and plug marks on the greens. This is your course please take an interest in its appearance. Founded in 1899, the club and course enjoy abackdrop more reminiscent of the Swiss Alps than Central Scotland. Indeed, this was confirmed when, on 20th June 1879 while passing by train, Queen Victoria described Tillicoultry as "lying in a wooded green valley at the foot of the [Ochil] hills, reminding me of Italy and Switzerland".
In the Auchterarder Guide of some 50 years ago it gives a population of 2,254 and also mentions that Auchterarder derives its name from the Gaelic 'Auchdar aird tir', signifying 'the summit of therising ground'. Standing on a ridge in Strathearn, it is one of the highest towns in Scotland. It also mentions sporting facilities, the nine- hole course being recognised as one of the finest inland courses in Central Scotland, laid out in 1913 by Ben Sayers. A modest payment made the visitor a member.

As one of Scotland's foremost Golf Clubs, Glenbervie offers golfers of all levels a challenging and rewarding golfing experience.
It is a 4963 yard par 66 for the men and a 4514 yard par 67 for ladies. With 8 par 3's scoring can be very difficult as the majority of the par 3's require medium to long irons off the tee withrelatively small greens.
