The great Bobby Jones is quoted as saying "it's difficult to see how you could improve on this".

After only one lesson with Simon I started to improve after several years of frustration and inconsistency on the golf course. He immediately identified why I was inconsistent and gave excellentstep-by-step advice and guidance. As a result I have added greater distance to my iron shots and my short game has improved considerably. I am able to once again enjoy golf and I feel that I now have the far greater understanding of the game. Simon is an outstanding teacher who provides value for money.

Prior to the formation of Heysham Golf Club in 1910, a joint tenure was made into golf when "The Morecambe and Heysham Golf Club" was formed at a meeting on the 23rd May 1892 at The Midland Hotel inMorecambe. The land was rented at a fee of £43 per year and comprised part of Banks House Farm and the farm kitchen was used as the "Clubhouse". George Lowe, the professional at Lytham and St. Annes Golf Club, was the architect and the original 9 hole course was later extended to 12 holes.

Fairhaven is not only a beautiful place to play golf but fully lives up to its designation as a "Championship" course originally designed by James Braid. Arriving at Fairhaven, having driven pastnumerous built-up areas, the first-time visitor should head for the lounge to enjoy the breath taking view of superb open golfing country, surrounded by woods, with not a house or any other building in sight. Fairhaven is an unusual blend of links and parkland which is relatively flat.
