Founded in 1975 the Club is renowned for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Visitors are welcome during the week and at weekends by arrangement, but please check the calendar for availability. Seton the Berkshire Downs, the location offers the players a peaceful round of golf amongst tree-lined fairways and many areas of the course provide stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
We welcome beginners and novice players and afford them the same courtesy as our more proficient players. Special reduced rates are also available for juniors and senior citizens. Golf societies and'Golf days' can be arranged, including fun and fantastic value corporate and business days from as little as £12 per person.
At Hinksey Heights you will find an 18 hole Championship Course and The Spires Course (9 hole course). Hinksey Heights is open to all. You don't need to be a member to play. There are a variety ofholes which reward the thinking golfer. The Spires Golf Course, opened by Sir Bobby Robson in July 2006, can be played as 9 or 18 holes. This course is ideal for the novice golfer, or those with limited time to spare as the whole course can be played in under 2 hours.
Deanwood Park Golf Club, a treasure in England's most beautiful county: Royal Berkshire, with rolling downs, tranquil rivers and friendly people. Our lovely course is situated only two miles fromhistoric Newbury. The golf course is situated 500 yds along the Lambourn Rd (B4000) from its junction with the A4 (A34 by-pass roundabout) Newbury to Hungerford Road. Junction 13 of the M4 is only 2 miles north on the A34.
Established in 1901 and designed by Willie Park Jnr., Huntercombe is one of the finest inland courses in England. Huntercombe was the only course owned by Willie Park Jnr. Originally a heathlandcourse, the fairways are now mostly bounded by mature trees and carefully managed woodland, with bluebells an added peril in the Spring. Otherwise, the course has not much changed over the last century and Willie Park Jnr. would today have little difficulty in recognising his creation.
