Chingford Golf Club is a members club for male golfers. We welcome players of all abilities. It also offers hospitality to women as social members. We advise any women looking for a golf club to joinour "sister" club Chingford Ladies GC. We play most of our golf on the Chingford golf course. This is run by The Corporation of London and we share it with two other clubs as well as the public. CGC members enjoy regular golf and a comfortable clubhouse to retire to after play.
West Essex is a very friendly and welcoming, private members club. We have a modern, forward looking attitude and approach, yet we retain the traditions associated with golf clubs. Located in NorthChingford, we are just ten minutes from the M25 and the North Circular road. Designed by James Braid and opened in 1900, 'The West' boasts one of the finest traditional championship parkland courses in the area. It winds its way through Epping Forest and has spectacular views of the London skyline.
The members of Royal Epping Forest Golf Club are delighted to have your company at their web site and feel sure you will find the course both interesting and challenging as well as picturesque. Thecourse, being on forest land, is a public one. It is laid out over the old hunting grounds of King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I; where the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin roamed in the 1730's and where golf was first played in Essex on an officially recognised course in 1888.
