Established in 1922, Astbury is a picturesque yet testing parkland course situated amongst the beautiful South Cheshire countryside. The easy to walk course comprises sweeping tree lined fairways,and, internally, runs alongside the historic Macclesfield canal. In the last 12 months we have invested heavily in producing the course in its best possible condition and everyone who plays the course has been delighted in the results.

Mr W. H. L. Cameron, who had played some golf in his youth in Scotland, was elected as the first Captain and Mr P. P. Brocklehurst, a local landowner and head of a town bank was elected as President.Mr. Cameron had obtained permission to form greens and play over land, which was then part of Upton Hall Farm. Play on the nine-hole course started immediately.
