South Essex Golf Centre encompasses 27 Golf holes, located just outside Brentwood and only 5 minutes from Junction 29 of the M25. Facing mainly south the course basks in the southern sunshine & thepanoramic views over the Thames Valley and into Kent are truly magnificent. The unique set up at South Essex provides three 9 Hole courses - The Heron, Hawk and Vixen, giving variety every time you play and offering a number of choices for 18 Holes.
The course was created by the vision of the owners who sought the design expertise of the renowned, late Patrick Tallack, and offers a challenge to the accomplished golfer yet will not intimidatenewcomers to the game. It was laid to seed in the spring of 1992 and opened for play in July 1993.
Welcome to Leigh Golf Range, located at Leigh Marshes within a stones throw of Hadleigh Castle and the Olympic mountain bike track event. Belfairs Golf Course is a public golf course in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex opened in 1923. The original 9 hole course was designed by Harry S. Colt and a further 9 holes were added in 1926. There are twoclubs on the course, Belfairs and Southend. Belfairs Golf Club was the original club that was formed in 1926 to coincide with the opening of the 18 hole course. Southend Golf Club was formed after the two clubs split in the mid 40's.
Situated in picturesque Belfairs Woods, Belfairs is an 18 hole municipal parkland course offering a good test of golf with fairways that range from the wide and undulating to narrow and tree lined. Itis particularly renowned for the quality of its greens. The green-keeping staff have made significant improvements to the fairways and removed the rough resulting in the course being presented in superb condition.
Founded in 1893, this traditional golf club moved to the Grade 1 listed Rochford Hall in 1896 and soon established a most picturesque James Braid designed 6221 yard course within the grounds. Althoughsome adjustments have been made since, the course maintains its traditional James Braid 'feel' and continues to provide a compelling challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Chigwell Golf Club is a traditional private members' club, near Epping Forest some 10 miles north east of Central London and within easy reach of the M25. Set on undulating parkland the 18 hole, par71, 6296 yard course, presents a real challenge for the most discerning of golfers. Visitors have included the PGA, the Royal Variety Golf Society and numerous other Essex County Golf Championships.
