The Brow Golf Club at Welsh Frankton sits alongside the A495 from Ellesmere to Oswestry. Opened in 1995 by founder the late Alf Strange, author, blacksmith and golfer, The Brow is a picturesque 9 holegolf course set in the rolling countryside in North Shropshire, close to the Welsh Border.
Arscott Golf Club is situated just 4 miles from Shrewsbury where the Shropshire Plain gives way to the South Shropshire Hills. The topography, therefore, is very interesting and varied, with gentlehills and undulating fairways without being too challenging on the legs. There are pools, large and small formed by the marlpits left by the brickmakers. The clubhouse and course has won many awards for building design and sensitive environmental approach.
It is important to note that the Club has no jurisdiction over the Course or Centre, and all Green Fees (or Packages) are arranged between the individual member and Horsehay Village Golf Centre. TheClub and Centre co-operate together to ensure the smooth running of all competitions and events. Horsehay Village Golf Centre offer "pay as you go" green fees or annual packages.

The course boasts a unique claim to fame in that you can play one round of golf in two separate countries, courtesy of Offa's Dyke running through our course. On the 4th hole you tee off in Wales andputt out in England. The 5th and 6th hole remain in England before you are cordially welcomed back into Wales on the 7th tee.
