Founded in 1889, Lockerbie Golf Club is a very pleasant parkland course with a Par 67. It is on an elevated setting which affords stunning views over the Annandale Valley and surrounding hills. Theoriginal nine hole course was designed by the legendary James Braid and in 1986 a further nine holes were added. The course has several hazards including trees, a pond and contours contributing to an interesting layout.
Set in breathtaking scenery in Dumfriesshire, South West Scotland, Powfoot Golf Course presents a mixture of both links and parkland golf of the highest standard. Opened in 1903 and redesigned by thelegendary James Braid in 1923, the course offers a superb test of golf with its many challenging holes which are set among whins and rough and has earned Powfoot the tag of ‘one of golf's best kept secrets'.
Biggar Golf club was on established on 13th June, 1895. At that time the golf course was "laid out" on high ground about a mile from the station (Caledonian Railway). Visitors in those days paid oneshilling per day, two and six per week or ten shillings for three months. The course was known as "Langlees", the home of Lord and Lady Clydesmuir. In 1901 a new course was laid out at Heavyside, to the South East of the town.

The moorland course is one of Scotland's finest and the clubhouse facilities have recently been upgraded toa high standard. There is a well-stocked professional's shop, practice area and an interesting little 9-hole course. The resident Chef is very well regarded for outstanding catering. The course is located just outside the historic market town of Lanark in the Upper Clyde Valley.

Leadhills takes the honour of being Scotland's highest golf course at 1, 500 feet above seas level. Naturally, it is a hilly layout that is subjected to quite high winds, but that's just part of itsunique character. The views from all over the course is superb, even more so from the eighth tee. Those who walk off the 18th green usually do so with a smile on their face such is its challenge.
